Dear Families,

It’s hard to believe we’re nearly halfway through Term 3 already! The start of the term has been incredibly positive, and I want to thank you all for your continued support. I’ve been so pleased with how our students are embracing our four values of Respect, Love, Mercy, and Community in their daily interactions and learning. Their commitment to these values is what makes our school such a special place.

As we move deeper into the term, it’s not uncommon for students to experience what I call “wobbly legs” a dip in energy, focus, or motivation. This is a great time to have a conversation with your children about the importance of consistent effort and the role they play in helping everyone have a trouble-free day at school. As I’ve said many times, we achieve the best outcomes when families and staff work together. If your child makes a mistake, please remember that it doesn’t define who they are. What they learn from it does. Helping them take responsibility rather than making excuses builds resilience and prepares them for high school and adult life.

As a leadership team, we’re currently planning for 2026, including teacher and school officer placements, as well as class structures and placements. We’ll keep you informed as decisions are made throughout the term.

For our Year 6 families, the end of the primary school journey is drawing near. Our Year 6 cohort continues to impress us with their leadership and maturity. Please keep encouraging them to finish not just the term strong, but the entire year with pride and purpose.

A gentle reminder to all families, please be mindful of parking around the school. We’ve received feedback from local residents about driveways being blocked. Let’s continue to show respect and consideration for our neighbours by ensuring their access is not disrupted.

As we reflect on our journey this term, I’m reminded of the words from Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it”

I look forward to seeing you around the school whether it’s at the Mestrez Street gate or the Balaclava Road entrance. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to chat.

Respect, Love, Mercy and Community

God Bless
