Principal's Message - Brendon Napier

Dear Families,

At the beginning of the term, we shared that this is a reporting term. A time when student effort and achievement are formally recognised. As parents and carers, I encourage you to focus on the effort grade your child receives. Effort is often a clearer indicator of a student’s work ethic, perseverance, and willingness to improve. While achievement can fluctuate with circumstances, effort can reflect the students’ character, and it is this character that will carry our children forward into high school and beyond.

There have been some incredibly great moments this term, and a few deeply challenging ones as well. In both the highs and the lows, the strength of our community has been clear.

It’s been lovely to hear our younger students still talking about the excitement of the new playground. These small moments of excitement remind me how important it is to invest in their wellbeing and sense of belonging.

As we move into the last week of the term, I ask that you continue to encourage your children to stay focused and make good choices. Let’s finish the term with the same energy and integrity with which we began it.

If your family is heading away these holidays, please travel safely. More importantly, I hope you can enjoy time with family and friends as time is precious, and the memories we create together last.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:11

I look forward to seeing you around the school, whether at Mestrez Gate or the Balaclava entrance. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Respect, Love, Mercy and Community

God Bless
