News from the APA - Karina Brady
Dear Parents and Carers,
Communication via Seesaw
Communication via Seesaw
We are excited to enhance our communication with families through the Seesaw app. Seesaw allows us to share more about your child's learning journey in a dynamic and interactive way. You can receive updates, photos, and videos showcasing classroom activities. You will notice an increase in class and year level messages being delivered via Seesaw. For this reason, we encourage families to check the app regularly. Within the parent Seesaw account settings, you can select how often you receive email notifications regarding Seesaw posts. For more information, or to change your settings, click the link and follow the instructions. If you have not yet joined your child’s class Seesaw, please reach out to your child’s teacher for support in getting connected.
If for some reason you need to contact your child’s classroom teacher, we ask that you continue to use email. Seesaw will be a one-way communication tool from teacher/students to families.

NAPLAN
As we begin the NAPLAN testing period this Wednesday March 12, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and hardworking students. Your efforts in creating a calm and positive environment leading up to NAPLAN have been invaluable. Together, we have ensured that our students are well-prepared and ready to take on this national task. For those of you with children in Year 3 or Year 5, we encourage a calm and regular morning routine on the testing days. We are grateful to our P&F who have arranged some fruit platters for the children to share together after their first test.
Due to NAPLAN, there have been some changes to the specialist and library timetable this week and next week. If your child’s class has had to swap days for one, or both of these activities, this will be communicated to you by the classroom teacher.

Parent-Teacher Interviews
We are pleased to announce that Parent-Teacher Interviews for the end of Term 1 will be advertised within the week. These interviews are an opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher and discuss their learning. Your involvement and collaboration are key to fostering a positive and enriching educational experience for your child. We value parent input and highly recommend booking an appointment time to see your child’s teacher.
Warm regards,
Karina Brady
