Principal's Message - Brendon Napier

Hello Families,

It’s hard to believe we are already in Week 7 of Term One! The time has certainly flown, and I want to acknowledge the incredible effort put in by our staff, not just throughout the term but in the weeks leading up to the school year. Just like a strong pre-season sets up a sporting team for success, the work done before the term started has helped create a positive and productive environment for our students.

I also want to express my gratitude to our parents for your continued partnership with us. I know I often repeat this, but that’s because it’s true we see the best outcomes for our students when we all work together. As we approach the end of the term, I encourage you to speak with your children about finishing strong and living out our OLHOC values of Respect, Love, Mercy, and Community. These values are not just words, they are what shape us as a school and will stay with our students beyond their time here. It is important that our students, staff, and families feel a strong sense of belonging at OLHOC.

Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of meeting with families applying for Prep 2026. A common theme in these interviews has been the overwhelmingly positive feedback about our school’s strong sense of community. Families have shared how they were drawn to OLHOC because of friends or family mentioning how welcoming we are, and the reputation of our school as a place where children are cared for. OLHOC is such a special place to be and I am so fortunate to be the Principal!

"Let all that you do be done in love." – 1 Corinthians 16:14

I look forward to seeing you around the school, whether at Mestrez Gate or the Balaclava entrance. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Respect, Love, Mercy and Community

God Bless
